Internationals coming to the United States face some challenges obtaining their driver's license or learner's permit. Then you are eligible to start learning to drive. When you are confident of your driving abilities, you can come back for a skill test at the DMV. If you pass the skill set, you get a driver's license. To get your driving License, you need to demonstrate your ability to operate a motor vehicle satisfactorily and pass any physical or mental examination the DMV may find necessary to gauge your ability to operate a motor vehicle safely. If you have any form of disability, you may be issued a restricted license.
The learner's permit test is designed to test your knowledge in traffic laws, road signs, special driver's license condition, and rules of safe driving. Even if you have prior driving experience, you may not find it easy to pass this DMV written exam without thoroughly studying your state's traffic laws and road signs. In most of the states, the pass score is 85%. So, you need to study your state's DMV manual very well. It may also be a good idea to subscribe to some learner's permit test prep courses. Some sites also offer free sample tests to prepare for the DMV license test.
